The name 'Bochic' is inspired by bohemian style and free-spirited ideals from fashion and food to art, nature and everything in between. 'Bohemian' basically means 'unconventional'– anything a little bit different, out of the ordinary, quirky even, and that's what I love in weddings. I think it's really important to put your own stamp on your wedding day. It's one of the most important days of your life, so you want something that's bursting with personality and character – right? From the venue choice to the tiny, memorable touches, I can help you create a day that is truly unforgettable.
There are no rules when it comes to my idea of celebrating the love two people share. So, if you want to get married barefoot in a treehouse (yes, this is possible!) or have a giant doughnut tower as your wedding cake, I say – why not?! I aim to help you create a wedding that reflects you both – all the tiny, little things that make up and complete your relationship are what I hope to represent within your wedding.
I'm Ela, the founder of Bochic Weddings and Events®. I was born and raised in a little village in Buckinghamshire and have been in the countryside ever since! I speak fluent Turkish and half of my family live in Istanbul, one of my favourite cities. I'm partial to green tea, a big fan of flower crowns and I love going to flea markets in hot countries! Oh, and I write lists... lots of them!
My company, Bochic, was born out of my love for designing, creating, and people. I trained and worked with both the UKAWP - the leading industry body for UK wedding planning market, and Tern Events - a highly professional and well-known wedding and event planning company. From this, I gained invaluable knowledge of the industry and worked with super talent suppliers on all kinds of events, from weddings and private parties to showcases, styled shoots and company launches. I’m proud to say that I am an approved associate member of UKAWP, which means I adhere to their code of business practise, including not taking commission from clients, meaning I only recommend suppliers who I genuinely think you’ll love and want to hire. I launched Bochic to link my passion for creating with my love of helping people. I'd love to help you plan your event, too!
